Meet The Verge Building Developers
Bill Bice Bill founded his first company, ProLaw Software, while still recovering from his high school graduation party. ProLaw grew rapidly and was named one of Inc. Magazine's 500 fastest growing companies three yeas in a row before it was purchased by Thomson (then known as West) in 2001. Subsequently, Bill helped found the Verge Fund, a venture capital fund providing seed capital to high-tech ventures in New Mexico. He has personally helped create three additional technology startups. Bill's experience growing ProLaw and working with other tech startups gives him unique insight to the needs of growing tech firms and has shaped the vision for the Verge Building.
Ron J. McPhee No stranger to "sweat" equity, Ron founded HealthFirst Corporation, as a health and wellness evaluation system. HeathFirst quickly became a leader in fitness and wellness software, achieving an average annualized growth of over 50% in the 1990's before being acquired by Polar Electro, the industry leader in heart monitoring and fitness technology. Ron is also a founding member of the Verge Fund and is involved in several technology startups. He personally understands the office challenges faced by startup and rapidly growing tech businesses.
Seth Gardenswartz Seth is a lawyer, real estate developer and e-commerce executive, who refuses to accept that there are only 24 hours in a given day. He clearly recognizes the temporal and physical obstacles faced by firms every day in their quest for flexible and efficient office space. A second generation Albuquerque native, Seth is excited to help bring a job creation project like this to downtown Albuquerque, just a few blocks from where his grandfather opened H. Cooks Sporting Goods in 1938. Seth has been integral in bringing the Verge Building project to fruition, and his passion to develop a creative space for early stage tech companies will benefit the city and state in the years to come. He holds a license to practice law in Colorado and New Mexico, as well as a New Mexico real estate license.
